Simon and Jo are both so helpful. I always feel reassured as they both care about getting the right car for you. All my family members get there cars from them. They are reliable and fairly priced. It takes away the stress and worry if buying a second hand car.

I regularly use this garage for my MOT, and they have always been so kind and helpful. This year when my mot failed and the car wasn't worth repairing they had me back on the road in a weeks time with a lovely new car at a within my budget. They even went the extra mile and cleaned all my stuff out so I didn't have to. 20/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Simón and Jo were extremely helpful and immediately made me feel we could trust them. They have been in Hitchin at this garage for 30 years which was also reassuring. They new my budget was small but were able to find us a brilliant car. We were able to be up and running the very next day and they helped with setting up tax on the new vehicle as well as filling in the log book etc The car was spotless when we collected it and drives really well. We’ll definitely recommend them to other people.

I have used Simon at SP motors for years, as have my family and friends and I can’t recommend him highly enough. We buy all our cars from him and he services, MOT’s and fixes them - although the last car car I bought from him has hardly cost me a penny in the 9 years I’ve had it! Easy to contact and deal with - good old fashioned customer service at its best.

So I called up prior to traveling over 100 miles away and asked what is up with it… classic answer what we all know… Got there anyway long story short and they was a hole in the coolant reservoir tank…… I said how am I supposed to travel over 100 miles away. He said you will be ok….. I mean really. Even kind enough to tell me to shove something inside it 😂😂😂 thanks for wasting my Tuesday evening

Would avoid this dealer, came across very dodgy. Viewed a car and liked it, but would only accept a cash deposit as they don't have a card machine. We wanted to get the car checked by the AA, from a safety and peace of mind point of view. Told us not to bother as its a 13 plate care with high mileage and they'll pick it to pieces... in other words it was probably in awful condition and didn't want to lose the sale because of it. Not much of a salesman! Also started saying how he'd replaced a load of parts himself which was why he couldn't reduce the price, after this debacle we didn't have much faith in whether these parts had actually been replaced, also this story seemed remarkably similar to other reviews I've read on hear.

Dealer without even asking/telling much, gave an appointment for 2.30 PM on Sunday afternoon when we asked about a Kia Picanto. We drove 50 miles just to be told that they can't let us do a test drive because 1. The car didn't have a valid MOT. 2. If we have to do a test drive, we need to pay a refundable £200, so that they will do an MOT on Monday and then I can come back on Monday to do a test drive. That was a surprise for us, since we went in plan to complete the purchase that same day if we liked how it drives. Then there were few more surprises. That they can give the advertised 30 days guarantee only if I agree for a £200 timing belt change, because the car didn't have any service history. Best part, he told my 7 year old kid off for playing with rain water drops on the car bonnet. He was like "Don't touch, COVID restrictions" Really? after my wife and I sat in the car and he shows all cars without a mask, but COVID restrictions for a child playing with rain drops ? Then he seems to think that his guarantee on a £1600 car is not worth because we come from a place 50 miles away. Never seen a dealer with such a terrible attitude.
